Mission & Values

CARE Inclusion is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by including and working with persons with disabilities.

We pursue this mission through an integrated, holistic commitment to:

  • Network with disability organizations to facilitate the development of inclusive churches that touch people of every facet of disability, and that both locally and globally.
  • Public awareness that leads to informed understanding, giving, involvement, and prayer.
  • Witness to Jesus Christ by life, deed, word, and sign that encourages people to respond to the Gospel.

John 5:6-9

As this man who was waiting for someone to touch him and take him into the pool, CARE Inclusion aims to touch and embrace the most vulnerable to fulfill their holistic needs.

We are Christian

Acts 17:24-28, Matthew 16:16, John 16:7-8, Hebrews 4:12

We acknowledge one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus Christ, the love, mercy, and grace of God are made known to us and all people, this including people with disabilities. From this overflowing abundance of God’s love, we find our call to ministry.

We base our beliefs on the Word of God as our sole foundation of faith and action.

We proclaim together, “Jesus lived, died, and rose again. Jesus is Lord.” We desire Him to be central in our individual and corporate life.

We seek to follow Him — in His identification and special concern for those with disabilities who are afflicted, oppressed, marginalized, and vulnerable; in His unconditional love for all people without discrimination; in His offer of new life through faith in Him. From Him, we receive our holistic understanding of the gospel of the Kingdom of God, which forms the foundation of our response to human needs.

We hear the call of Jesus to servanthood and see the example of His life. We commit ourselves to a servant spirit permeating the organization. We know this means facing honestly our own pride, sin, weakness, and failure.

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter who was sent to us when Jesus Christ ascended to heaven. It is His work of consolation and mercy that gives personal meaning to this special group of people in need of His ministry.

We bear witness to the redemption offered only through faith in Jesus Christ. The staff we engage are equipped by belief and practice to bear this witness. We will maintain our identity as Christian while being sensitive to the diverse contexts in which we express that identity.

We Value People

We regard all people as loved and created by God in His likeness.

We act in ways that respect the dignity, uniqueness, and intrinsic worth of every person. We celebrate the richness of diversity in all mankind.

Within our teams and disability network, we practice and encourage a participative, open, enabling style in working relationships.
